An hour is the only thing you can't buy back
The hour you earned.
sil·lo·a (n.) — the hour you earned. Sit down. You've done enough.
How it works
Not a rating of a cigar — a record of an hour. What you had, who with, what you were marking. Logged in about ten seconds, and it is yours by default.
- Private unless you say otherwise. Nothing you log is published by accident.
- One question at the end, and it is not a score out of a hundred.
- Three categories, and each keeps its own words — you are never asked whether you would smoke a bottle of Rioja.
What you own, and when it is ready. A rest clock runs from the day a box came in, and the app tells you rather than making you remember.
- “Your Padrón has rested six months. It’s ready.” — that is the whole feature.
- Each category keeps its own place: the the humidor, the cellar, the back bar.
- A rest clock where it means something — cigars and wine change in storage, spirits do not.
Silloa never reviews anything. The room does — people whose taste you have reason to trust, answering one question. There is no house score, no 93 points, and no way to buy your way up a ranking.
Would you smoke it again?
- Buying a box
- Yes, gladly
- Sure, if offered
- Probably not
- Never again
A product page shows the share of the room who would do it again. Never an average of strangers’ scores.
The watching half. A full-screen reel, longer videos, podcast episodes and whoever is live — in one place, with the tab row as its only chrome.
- Everything plays from the creator’s own channel. Silloa hosts no video and takes no cut of it.
- A creator’s page collects what they have published; it says plainly when they have not claimed it.
- Age-restricted uploads are handed off rather than embedded, because YouTube will not play them here.
Lounges, and what is on tonight. Every venue is a real business with its address checked against two independent sources — we would rather list seven rooms than four hundred licence holders.
- No “open now”. Hours go stale and a green light on a shut door is discovered standing outside it.
- A lounge that claims its page writes its own hours, photo and links — and nobody else can.
- Events, guest lists and table bookings hang off the room they happen in.
What shops charge, side by side. Silloa never holds the tobacco, the licence, or the money — you buy from the shop, on the shop’s own page, and the receipt has their name on it.
- Offers are filtered against where you are, because a price you are not allowed to pay is not an offer.
- Anything paid for is labelled by a rule in the code, not by a switch an advertiser can turn off.
- Prices on the shop today are sample data and say so on their face.
