- Grand Cru was created in 1994 by Frank Llaneza as the silkiest cigar in the Punch stable — a deliberate counterpoint to the brand's knuckle-first reputation. A Connecticut Shade wrapper covers a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican filler, and the finished cigars rest three to five years before shipping. The No. 2 Maduro placed No. 13 on Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 for 2010.
- Wrapper: Connecticut Shade (No. II offered in Ecuador Sumatra).
- Binder: Connecticut Broadleaf.
- Filler: Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican.
- From Honduras.
