- Pledge pairs a U.S.-grown Connecticut Habano-seed wrapper with an Ecuadoran binder and Nicaraguan fillers, rolled at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo's Tabacalera La Alianza in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Its box-pressed Prequel robusto was named Cigar Aficionado's Cigar of the Year for 2020, marking Perez-Carrillo's fiftieth year in the industry. The line's name was chosen by attendees of the 2019 Big Smoke, who voted Pledge over Bequest and Prequel.
