- General Cigar registered the Cohiba name in the United States in 1978 and has sold its own Dominican-made Cohiba since the 1980s, with production expanding sharply during the 1990s boom. The red dot inside the "O" of the band distinguishes it from the unrelated Cuban brand and gave the line its everyday name. The blend sets an African Cameroon wrapper over an Indonesian Jember binder and Dominican-grown Piloto Cubano fillers.
- Wrapper: African Cameroon.
- Binder: Indonesian Jember.
- Filler: Dominican-grown Piloto Cubano.
- From Dominican Republic.
