- When CAO launched Brazilia in 2001 it was the company's first dark-wrapper cigar, and unusually for the time it advertised its Brazilian Arapiraca leaf instead of leaving the origin undisclosed. Underneath sit a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers, and CAO rates the blend medium to full. Retail histories credit it as the first mass-produced cigar with a Brazilian maduro wrapper; production began with the Toraño family in Danlí, Honduras.
